The sensing layer inside footwear.
Sense Edge records pressure, motion and environmental conditions across both feet reliably throughout the day.

Gen 1 proved our concept.
Four pressure zones in each insole produced usable readings, but the two data streams were measured separately.
External wires supplied power and carried the readings out for analysis on external systems where we developed our data models and algorithms.
Gen 2 adds timing and movement context.
The same four pressure zones in each insole now work alongside six-axis motion, temperature and humidity sensing.
Rechargeable power and wireless offload make the system portable. Timestamps allow recordings from both insoles to be combined later during post-processing away from the edge.
Gen 2 is available for partner evaluation and validation.
Gen 3 moves more recording and processing onboard.
The target specification adds eight pressure zones, nine-axis motion sensing, real-time alignment between the insoles, Bluetooth Low Energy and store-and-forward storage.
Satellite positioning, fast charging and a battery fuel gauge are also planned for the Q1 2027 development target.
Gen 4 extends sensing toward intervention.
The longer-term roadmap includes ten or more pressure zones, chemical sensing, expandable heart-rate and muscle-activity inputs, and haptic feedback.
Partner integrations, channel-sounding trilateration and energy harvesting are planned as well.
Four generations, compared.
The platform has progressed from a basic proof of concept to working portable hardware, with two planned generations ahead.
